Tsemakh Research and Kinneret Drainage and Rivers Authority
An ArcGIS application development for a Tsemakh Research soil survey database. The data were compiled from hundreds of surveys conducted in the Jordan Valley (south of the Sea of Galilee) since 1950.
Dr. Salingar was the Israeli coordinator of WaterNet
Project which derived from the program adopted by the
Multilateral Working Group on Water Resources of the Middle
East Peace Process (part of the Madrid Agreement). WaterNet
was undertaken jointly by the Israeli Government
(Ministry of Foreign Affairs)
Israeli research / implementation authorities (the
Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, the
Hydrological Service, the
Kinneret Limnological Laboratory and
Mekorot - Water Company) the Jordanian Government and
the Palestinian Authority. The project was financed by
the Norwegian and USA Governments and facilitated by CESAR
– a Norwegian NGO.
